Mud Kitchen, Montpellier

Our smallest ever project, for our smallest ever clients. The practice designed and built a mud kitchen for a local Camden community children’s nursery.

The kitchen was designed to be constructed from small sections of timber, reducing off-cuts and material cost, whilst allowing much of the construction and installation to take place during the nursery’s opening hours.

The butterfly roof form collects rainwater into hanging water buts, which are fitted with taps for the children to play with.
