Floating House, Radlett

The project involved the complete remodelling of an Arts & Crafts house ground floor, continuing out into the garden. Prior to the works the layout of the house was relatively cellular and incoherent as a result of series of small extensions over the years.

The extension was conceived as a horizontal roof-plane floating above a large band of high-quality sliding glass doors.

The new space was designed with inter-generational family life and entertaining in mind, and focused around a series of new living spaces looking onto the garden and swimming pool.
