Teal House, Archway

The design included extension to both the side and rear of the existing kitchen, which was cramped and isolated form the garden.

The new space is laid out around two axes running the full length of the house. These form an organising principle of the new kitchen-dining room and create double-aspect views across the ground floor of the house.

Rooflights draw light into the extension and help to ensure that the adjoining living rooms retain a good level of natural light.

The garden of the house is significantly elevated form the internal floor level, so the new terraced steps are a key element of the scheme.
